Hallie is Managing Partner of Catalyst Partners. She has an extensive career in both oil and gas as well as private equity, serving both industries for two decades. Prior to the formation of Catalyst she served for ten years as President, Chief Operating Officer and member of the board of Black Stone Minerals Company, L.P., a leading private oil and gas fee mineral owner, where prior to becoming President in 2007, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During her tenure with Black Stone, the company grew from a valuation of $220 million to $4 Billion. Prior to Black Stone, Hallie spent ten years as Chief Financial Officer for EnCap Investments, a leading private equity firm focused on the oil and gas sector. Before joining EnCap, Hallie, over the course of a decade held various management roles, most recently as Chief Accounting Officer, of Damson Oil Corp., a publicly traded oil and gas firm. Hallie began her career in public accounting with Deloitte (formerly Touche Ross & Co.). Hallie serves on the Board and the audit committee of PetroLogistics LP in Houston and also serves on the Board for Bright Horizon Resources LLC and Grey Rock Energy Management LLC. She serves on the board and is the current President of the Houston Producers’ Forum and is a member of, among others, the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Energy Subcommittee for the Greater Houston Partnership, the Steering Committee for the Executive Women’s Partnership of the Greater Houston Partnership and is a director of the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation. Hallie received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Seth is an entrepreneur and financial professional focused on the execution of transformative ideas. At Catalyst Partners, Seth is helping growth-stage companies to realize their full potential by providing comprehensive strategic advisory services. As co-founder of TIC, an international advisory firm, he worked to facilitate bilateral foreign direct investment between Chinese and American companies, particularly in the energy sector. Previously, Seth has worked in financial consulting and middle market investment banking across a range of industry areas including oil & gas, alternative energy, and emerging technology. He has worked for and advised multiple technology startups engaged in industries as diverse as mobile discounts, Gov 2.0, digital media, eCommerce and alternative energy. Seth is passionate about education reform and has contributed to numerous organizations focused on improving public schools in the US. He co-founded the Dallas Links Club (DLC), a not for profit fundraising group of young professionals supporting Uplift Education, a leading charter school district in Dallas. Seth obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and later pursued graduate studies in international relations at the Johns Hopkins – School for Advanced International Studies in Nanjing, CN. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
